Paul
Clift
Bringing
entrepreneurial wisdom and extensive industry experience
to PageBid, Paul is the founder and president of a
ten year old nationwide document management consulting
company, where he has sold solutions to over 200 law
firms, corporations, and government agencies. Paul
has ten years of document technologies expertise,
and 25 years of overall technical consulting and management
experience.
Paul's
prior positions include CFO of a New York wholesaler,
and senior manager at Simplan Systems, a mainframe
timesharing firm. Before this he was a manager at
Exxon, and a Senior Associate at Touche Ross (now
Deloitte & Touche). Paul holds a degree in economics
from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Chip
Young
Chip
Young has the proven scalable database expertise needed
to take a company from startup to world class provider.
Chip is a senior database architect at Voxeo, a
Silicon Valley based startup that is leading the way
in allowing clients to give customers access to their information, employees and web services via any telephone.
He has 11 years of high-end relational database engineering
and management experience, working for industry leaders
such as Oracle, SQL, Informix, Sybase, and DB2.
Chip
also was integral in building three-tiered Web-server
architectures for Viralon, FreeMe and BackFlip, three
Internet startups. Chip's technical roots hail back
to Tivoli Systems where he managed four development
teams during the company's rapid growth years.
Before Tivoli, he worked with Sterling Consulting,
Tandem, and Arrowsmith Technologies. Chip is also
a patent applicant, and is currently working on an
open source application for code generation and a
technical reference book for Oracle DBAs. His studies
include Business Data Processing at the University
of Texas.
Richard
McKinley
With
both Fortune 500 and startup financial expertise,
Richard was the former CFO at Wilson Sonsini
Goodrich & Rosati, a high-tech law firm in Palo Alto, California. The firm is a fast-growing leader in the technology area, with over 800
lawyers in five offices and a dozen practice areas, and over
$400 million in fees collected annually.
In addition to founding his own financial consulting firm, where
he worked with startups to implement solid business
processes in their strategic planning, Richard was the CFO for
BigWords.com, which was the #3 on-line book retailer
behind Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble. While there
he built a management team, put in place ROI as a
business driver, and helped raise $30 million in funding.
Richard
also served for 15 years at The Gap, most recently
as the Vice-President of Finance for their Old Navy
division. He played an integral role in the phenomenal
growth of the Old Navy division, and put in place
a management team and revenue and expense metrics
to ensure its continued success. Before working for
The Gap, Richard was a tax manager at Touche Ross
& Co. He is currently a guest lecturer at UC Berkeley,
holds a CPA, and received his B.A. from Occidental
College.
Michael
Oswald
Bringing
extensive startup experience, as well as legal and
exit strategy expertise, to PageBid, Michael was the
former General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of
NowDocs, the leading provider of document printing
and delivery worldwide. There he oversaw contracts
management, corporate governance, facilities, finance,
human resources, intellectual property, legal affairs
and organization development.
Previously,
Michael was general counsel to Acuity Corp. in Austin,
Texas. where he implemented a process for working
with the company's sales force to streamline the negotiation
of software license deals, and managed all of the
company's legal affairs. He was also part of the management
team that negotiated Acuity's acquisition by Quintus
Corporation, during which time he co-led the transition
team. Michael also served on Quintus' IPO team.
Michael
has held several management positions, including director
of total quality for SEMATECH, a semiconductor industry
R&D consortium. He earned a J.D. from Santa Clara
University School of Law, and a B.A. from the University
of California at Riverside.
Chris
May
Through his extensive experience bringing products
from concept to market in the document technologies
industry, Chris brings years of hands-on development
and project management experience to PageBid. Currently
the Vice-President of Technology at an Austin based
litigation support company, his expertise comes from
eight years in the industry where he has overseen
the development of high-end ASP solutions, shrink-wrapped
products, and custom applications. He has been responsible
for the management of millions of documents, and as
many as 120 technologists in the R&D, Professional
Services, Document Processing, and MIS departments.
Chris's
previous experience includes work as a law clerk,
programmer, and network administrator. He holds a
degree in economics from the University of Texas.
