To the uninitiated, electronic discovery may seem straightforward, requiring only a disk to copy selected files. A closer look, however, reveals a complicated technical process that, if not performed correctly, can result in serious ramifications for both attorney and client, including monetary sanctions and even default judgment.

What's
New at PageBid
Subscription Levels for Providers. PageBid's new subscription levels give service providers more ways to market their companies. For starters, just registering as a Professional Provider will allow you to receive RFPs that meet your location and service criteria. If you want to rise above the fray, subscribe at the Premier Provider level and tell the clients more about your company and, when you are awarded a project, be eligible for a 50% rebate on any fees. You may also register as a Basic Provider which will list you in the Provider Directory but not the RFP distribution list. You must register your company as a Basic, Professional, or Premier provider in order to continue to use PageBid. Get the details.
Mea Culpa - The Provider Forum. When we announced the new Provider Forum last month we were not clear on the directions for signing up. The result was that dozens of providers were unsuccessful in joining the forum. We hope that the directions are more explicit now, and we welcome your participation. The forum is a members-only, online discussion group created exclusively for document technologies and litigation support providers. It is open only to the hundreds of providers who have confirmed registrations with PageBid (as always, Basic registration is free).
So please go ahead, start the conversation and join the forum.
On-line Quotes, Better Quotes. Finally, that "Submit Quotes" button is going to do something! Professional and Premier Providers now have the ability to submit quotes and proposals on-line. The form driven menus will guide you through the process and allow you to enter quotes for each portion of an RFP. You will also be able to upload company brochures and proposals, and ask questions on-line. With this change we are eliminating the lowest current quote posting during the proposal period. Instead, both the lowest and highest total quote amounts will be posted for all participating providers after the period has ended. We hope that, while providing more competitive information overall, this will keep the focus on quality of services rather than price.
